Day 1

Depart London on an overnight flight to Johannesburg

Days 2

On arrival transfer to The Saxon Boutique Hotel and Spa for one night. This is an iconic building which plays host to presidents, superstars and captains of industry, and which became the home to Nelson Mandela after his release from prison, where he stayed to edit his autobiography. Its 24 suites are spacious and elegant while its six acres of landscaped gardens provide an oasis of peace and calm in the centre of the city. It also has a magnificent award-winning spa. (BB)

Days 3-5

Transfer to Lion Sands, in the infamous Kruger National Park, for a three night stay in Ivory Lodge. This younger, smaller, sassier sister property offers just six suites, reckoned by many to be the most beautiful in the bush, which has resulted in the many awards it has received since its opening. Each suite is lavish in both size and décor with a separate living area, open-plan bathroom with indoor and outdoor shower, and huge viewing deck complete with day bed and heated swimming pool. (FB)

Days 6-8

Transfer by air to get to the stunning Garden Route for a three night stay at Pezula Resort. This is an award-winning hotel and an award-winning spa with stunning views along the rugged coastline.
